Penguin swims 8000 km every year to see the man who saved his life

You must have heard about a say that Doesn’t be a Human, Be an Animal.

This sentence is true in all respect as every time animals have proven that they are far better than humans.

This is a story about a Penguin, who swims almost 8000 km every year just to see a 75 years old man who once helped him in 2011.

Dindim, a South American Magellanic Penguin swims 8000 km a year to visit his 75 years old friend Joao Pereira de Souza. He found Dindim covered in Oil and starving on the shore of an island in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

De Souza took care of Dindim by cleaning his tarred feathers and feeding him fish for almost a week. Soon, Dindim recovered and de Souza took him to the shore again to release him “But he wouldn’t leave. He stayed with me for 11 months and then just after he changed his coat with new feathers, he disappeared,” Pereira de Souza told Globo TV.

But de Souza was surprised to see him return the next year, and the years following. “Everyone said he wouldn’t return but he has been coming back to visit me for the past four years. He arrives in June and leaves to go home in February,” he explains.
